This is why I relish the labor movement, since that's about straight-forward, immediate things like better pay and working conditions. Most self-appointed radicals come from bourgeois backgrounds, which makes them too ignorant to realize that the proletariat doesn't want a revolution, they just want the lifestyle those bourgie radicals had in their youth.Werner Herzog's Bearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01918845193415571702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1597761046378693913.post-35221875641925070542015-02-13T20:22:15.346-08:002015-02-13T20:22:15.346-08:00I regret everyday I've spent on twitter, I rea...I regret everyday I've spent on twitter, I really do. Before I created an account on this site, I could be safe in the delusion that the political right had a monopoly on low IQs and mental instability. Because of twitter, I've had to face the fact that there are plenty of stupid, juvenile, insecure people on the left. I suppose I always knew they from my experience in academia, but I had no clue as to the magnitude of their distribution amongst the left itself and activist communities. It hasn't changed my political positions at (I didn't run off and become a Republican, and I've probably moved farther to the left since the financial crisis) but it probably has contributed to my already inflated sense of political apathy. Why participate in any sort of activism knowing you will encounter this type of person?

James W.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
